New York Requires Teachers To Communicate More With Parents.

The New York Times (9/9, Taylor, Subscription Publication) reports on efforts to get parents more involved in schools in New York. Part of that is a new requirement that teachers “spend 40 minutes each week on activities like meeting with, writing to or calling parents, replacing a requirement that they spend that time tutoring after school.”
