Maryland County To Drop Final Exams.


The Washington Post (9/9, George) reports that the Montgomery County, Maryland Board of Education voted on Tuesday to “scrap high school final exams next school year.” Instead students may be required to complete “shorter assessments” that may include “tests, essays, portfolios and projects.” The decision is characterized as a response to “an increasing focus on test fatigue.”
