The AP (9/9) reports a new program called “Teach Now, Transform Tomorrow” is placing student teachers into classrooms at failing schools in Evansville, Indiana. The program is a partnership between the University of Southern Indiana, located in Evansville, and the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp. The student teachers receive training from the University of Southern Indiana and have reduced class schedules while enrolled in the program, so they can focus on the students.
