In a 2,200 word article, the Wall Street Journal (9/15, Brody, Subscription Publication) conducted an email panel discussion concerning the best way to improve the performance of US teachers. The three participants were Kate Walsh, president of the National Council on Teacher Quality, Jose Luis Vilson, a middle school math teacher in New York City, and Daniel Weisberg, chief executive of TNTP (The New Teacher Project).
