Harvard Researcher Finds Student Outcomes Improve When They Have Common Ground With Teachers.

NPR (10/13) reports Harvard Graduate School of Education researcher Hunter Gehlbach found that the academic outcomes of students improve when they find common ground with their teachers. Gehlbach conducted a survey of teachers and students and then shared examples of things that some students had in common with their teachers. Gelhbach found that the students who found out they had something in common with their teachers had higher grades than their peers who did not.
