The Denver Post (10/15, Hernandez) reports the Colorado School Safety Resource Center hosted the Safe Schools Summit . The most important issue on the minds of educators and school officials attending the conference was Colorado’s legalization of marijuana. Attendees shared stories of students getting high from marijuana-infused treats and candy. One district official said, “It’s like they’re disguising alcohol as Kool-Aid and marketing it to kids. These edibles are cookies and gummy bears, and they’re filled with high amounts of THC.”
